Arsenal were able to escape from their English Premier League woes and delivered another dominant performance in the Europa League on Thursday evening, to end the group stage campaign with a perfect record.
The Gunners moved up to 18 points from six matches with a 4-2 win over Dundalk at Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
Egypt international Mohamed Elneny was involved from the onset and doubled the visitors lead with a stunning strike from way out. It was only the third time in his Arsenal career that the 28-year-old had found the back of the net.
Elneny’s first goal for the club came in a 3-1 loss away to Barcelona in the Uefa Champions League in 2016 and his second three years ago in Arsenal’s 6-0 thumping of BATE Borisov in the Europa League.
