Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is set to return to action for Napoli before the end of 2020, according to a report in Football Italia.
The former Lille attacker has been sidelined for more than a month after suffering a dislocated shoulder while representing Nigerian in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in November.
Italian newspaper Il Mattino claimed on Saturday morning that the 21-year-old will not be back for the Neapolitans before 2021, supposedly ruling him out of their upcoming clashes against Sampdoria (today, December 13), Internazionale (December 16), Lazio (December 20) and Torino (December 23).
However, Football Italia quote Nigerian journalist Oma Akatugba, who has been in contact with the Super Eagles player: “I spoke with him now and he says he is fine and should feature in a game before the end of the year.”
Osimhen has scored two goals and provided one assist from six Serie A appearances in the 2020-21 season.
