Zimbabwe international Tino Kadewere has revealed his ambitions after inspiring Olympique Lyonnais to a win over Paris Saint Germain (PSG).

The 24-year-old striker scored the only goal of the match as Lyon secured an impressive 1-0 win over PSG in a titanic French Ligue 1 match over the weekend.

Kadewere netted his fifth league goal of the season after being set-up by fellow African striker Karl Toko Ekambi of Cameroon in the first-half.

The Harare-born player is keen to help Lyon qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League.

“It was a great night for the team, we did play well together,” Kadewere said on Goal.

“I am happy to have given the victory to my team. We worked a lot this week to achieve this success.

“The title? To be honest, I want us to qualify for the Champions League. It would be a dream. If we continue like this, working very hard, we have our chances of finishing first,” he added.

“It would be difficult. We never know.”

The victory took Lyon to second place on the league standings, but they are only behind leaders, Lille OSC on goal-difference.

Kadewere has now netted five goals from 13 league matches in his first season with Lyon having joined the from Le Havre in January 2020 and he was loaned back to the French Ligue 2 side.

He will be hoping to inspire Lyon to their maiden Ligue 1 title since 2008.
