Swallows FC defeated Black Leopards 2-1 in a DStv Premiership match at the Thohoyandou Stadium in Limpopo on Sunday afternoon.
Leopards opened the scoring through Onyedikachi Ononogbu, who make it 1-0 to the home side six minutes into the game.
However, Swallows managed to level matters when Thabo Matlaba set-up Ruzaigh Gamildien and the striker scored from close range to make it 1-1.
Joseph Mhlongo then sealed Swallows’ 2-1 win when he curled a powerful shot into the far-post with 19 minutes left on the clock.
Meanwhile, AmaZulu FC thrashed Black Leopards 3-1 in a PSL match at the Jonsson Kings Park Stadium in Durban.
The opening goal was netted by Isaac Nhlapo, who scored with a curling effort to make it 1-0 Chippa in the 14th minute.
AmaZulu level matters when Augustine Mulenga fired home Siphelele Mthembu’s cross in the 24th minute to make it 1-1.
Mulenga then turned provider as he set-up Luvuyo Memela, who scored with a low shot to make it 2-1 a minute before the half-hour mark.
Zambia international Mulenga then grabbed his second assist 10 minutes into the second-half when he set-up Memela and the winger sealed AmaZulu’s 3-1 win
