Morocco international Achraf Hakimi has urged Inter Milan teammates to focus on one game at a time as talks about the Serie A title emerge.
The Nerazzurri are placed second on the Serie A standings – a point behind leaders AC Milan with 13 matches played.
Inter are keen to win the Serie A title, also known as Scudetto, for the first time since the 2009/10 season.
Hakimi explained that they are eager to go into the winter break with the best form, with the team having won its last six league matches.
“We knew that it was an important match,” Hakimi told the club website.
“After the win against Napoli, we wanted to approach the Christmas break in a positive fashion and build on our results with a win.
“Scudetto? We know that everyone is talking about it, but we need to take things game by game and not look too far ahead,” he added.
“I’m obviously pleased to have scored, but I’m especially happy because I helped the team. We’re working hard and doing what the coach is asking of us, we want to grow.”
Hakimi has enjoyed regular time since he joined Inter from Spanish giants Real Madrid prior to the start of the current season.
The 22-year-old has netted four goals in 13 league matches this season.
