Egyptian giants Zamalek are reportedly interested in signing former Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo.

According to KingFut, the 27-year-old free agent has been offered to the White Knights.

Sanogo has been without a club since leaving Toulouse in July last year. The former France youth international, who moved to Emirates Stadium from Auxerre after helping Les Bleuets to U20 Fifa World Cup victory in 2013, scored one goal in 20 first team appearances for the Gunners.

He left the North London club on a free transfer following loan spells at Crystal Palace, Ajax Amsterdam and Charlton Athletic. He scored 16 goals in 72 appearances for Toulouse over three years but was let go following their relegation back to Ligue 2 last year.

Zamalek are said to be in the market for a new striker amid Mostafa Mohamed’s proposed move to French Ligue 1 side AS Saint-Étienne.

The White Knights currently occupy second spot on the Egyptian Premier League standings, level on 13 points with Al Ahly.
