Nigeria-born midfielder Bright Osayi-Samuel is set to complete his transfer to Turkish giants Fenerbahce SK.
The 23-year-old player will be joining the former Super Lig champions from English Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers (QPR).
This comes after Fenerbahce announced the signing of Germany international from English giants Arsenal during the current January transfer window.
Fenerbahce released the following statement:
“Club statement on Bright Osayi-Samuel’s transfer An agreement has been reached with Queens Park Rangers FC for the transfer of Bright Osayi-Samuel to our club to be completed on mid-season transfer window,” a club statement read.
QPR confirmed Osayi-Samuel’s imminent transfer to Fenerbahce, who had initially signed the player on a pre-contract with Yellow Canaries.
“QPR have reached an acceptable agreement with Fenerbahce for the immediate transfer of Bright Osayi-Samuel,” a club statement read.
“This is subject to a medical and personal terms. Osayi-Samuel has already signed a pre-contract agreement to join the Super Lig side in the summer.”
Osayi-Samuel was born in Okija, Nigeria, then moved with his family to Spain before emigrating to England when he was ten years old, settling in Woolwich, London.
He is eligible to play for England and Nigeria.
