Zimbabwe international Tino Kadewere says it would be a ‘dream come true’ for him to play with Karim Benzema at either Olympique Lyonnais or Real Madrid.
Kadewere has had a great start to life as a Lyon player having netted nine goals from 16 starts in the Ligue 1 for the French giants this season.
Benzema started his career at Lyon in 2004 before he moved to Spanish football powerhouse Real Madrid in 2009 and the French star is known to be a big fan of Lyon.
“Play with Karim Benzema at OL or join him in Madrid? Regardless, playing with him would be a dream come true,” Kadewere told Foot Mercato.
Benzema, 33, has been linked with a possible move back to Lyon at the end of the season and it remains to be seen whether he will return to Les Gones.
Kadewere made the statement after inspiring Lyon to a 5-0 win over Saint-Etienne in the Derby Rhone-Alpes on Sunday.
The Harare-born player opened the scoring in the 16th minute, before grabbing Les Gones’ fourth goal eight minutes after the hour-mark.
Kadewere, who joined Lyon from French club Le Havre in January 2020, will be hoping to help Les Gones secure a win when they face FC Girondins de Bordeaux on Friday.
He has netted three goals in 18 international matches for Zimbabwe.
