African stars Riyad Mahrez, Nicolas Pepe and Wilfried Zaha were all on target in Tuesday’s English Premier League action.

Mahrez found the back of the net for the first time since late November as Manchester City thumped West Bromwich Albion 5-0 to move top of the league standings. The Algeria international scored City’s fourth and assisted Raheem Sterling in a comfortable win for Pep Guardiola’s men.

Pepe, who has come under scrutiny in recent weeks, silenced some of his doubters with a well taken goal in Arsenal’s 3-1 comeback win over Southampton. The goal was the winger’s third in the Premier League this season.

Fellow Ivorian, Zaha, also found the back of the net but in a losing cause. The 28-year-old scored for the ninth time this season, but couldn’t help Crystal Palace avoid a 3-2 loss at home to West Ham United.
