Senegal international Mbaye Diagne’s agent Fatih Ilek has revealed why his client is keen to leave Turkish giants Galatasaray SK.
Ilek explained that the towering centre forward does not fit into Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim’s system.
The football agent also disclosed that Diagne has been assured of regular playing time at English Premier League club West Bromwich Albion, who are interested in the 29-year-old player.
“West Bromwich Albion gave him a continuous play guarantee. He’s actually happy in Galatasaray, but he agreed because he thought he could take more time there,” Diagne’s agent told Haber7.
“Diagne is going to England. Correspondence has been done; this is done. He is going on loan, but there is a mandatory purchase option.
“It is a great transfer for Galatasaray because I think Diagne does not fit into [Galatasaray manager] Fatih Terim’s system.”
Diagne has been enjoying regular game time this season having netted nine goals from 15 matches in the Turkish Super Lig.
The well-travelled player joined Galatasaray in January 2019 from Turkish Super Lig side Kasimpasa for a transfer fee of €10 million, signing a contract until 2023.
Diagne spent last season on loan at Belgian champions Club Brugge, but he only played six games and netted four goals in the Pro League.
He has played 10 international matches for Senegal without scoring a single goal.
