On the day of his 45th birthday we relive Robert Kidiaba’s iconic goal celebration.

The former Democratic Republic of Congo goalkeeper will forever be remembered, as not only one of Africa’s best shot-stoppers of the 2000’s, but also for his unique ‘donkey’ dance celebration which made him a household name across the confines of the African continent.

Kidiaba spent his entire professional career on the books of TP Mazembe who he helped to three Caf Champions League titles.
