Ismaila Sarr starred for Watford in a 6-0 thumping of Bristol City at Vicarage Road on Saturday evening.
The Senegal international scored a brace and set up two more goals in Watford’s biggest league win since 1982. Victory moved the Hornets up to fourth on the Championship table, seven points behind leaders Norwich City and six adrift of Brentford who occupy the second of two automatic promotion spots.
Sarr played a huge role in the opener which was later credited as a Taylor Moore own goal before doubling Watford’s lead in the 15th minute.
The 22-year-old completed his brace in the 55th minute after assisting Ken Sema before teeing up Philip Zinckernagel for the sixth in the final minute of regulation time.
Sarr has now chalked up 15 goal involvements in 25 league matches for Watford this season.
