Ibrahim Salifu, a new signing for Hearts of Oak, has backed the Accra-based giants to win the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League title.
Salifu recently joined the Phobians from rivals Eleven Wonders and made his debut for the club in a 4-0 win over WAFA last weekend.
The victory saw Hearts continue their fine recent form, moving up to third place on the log – four points adrift of leaders Karela after 17 rounds of the season.
Their solid placing on the standings has Salifu confident that Hearts of Oak can go on and win the GPL title for the first time since 2009.
“I am very happy to have played my first game,” the midfielder said, as quoted by Football Ghana.
“As we have started, I believe we will win the league by the end of the season. Therefore they [fans] should keep supporting us.”
Hearts of Oak are scheduled to return to GPL action with a match at home to Aduana Stars on March 19.
