Limpopo Derby headlines Nedbank Cup action

A clash between Limpopo rivals Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) and Black Leopards will headline this weekend’s Nedbank Cup quarter-final action.


The two teams are set to meet at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Sunday with Leopards having eliminated AmaZulu FC in the Last 16, while TTM stunned Swallows FC.


Meanwhile, Cape Town All Stars will welcome Pretoria Callies at the Danie Craven Stadium in a clash between two GladAfrica Championship teams on Sunday.


All Stars reached this stage after defeating their city rivals, Cape Town Spurs in the previous round and Callies also secured a win over their Tshwane rivals JDR Stars.


The action will begin on Saturday with Chippa United set to lock horns with GladAfrica Championship outfit Richards Bay at the Sisa Dukashe Stadium.


Chippa progressed to the Last 8 after eliminating Cape Town City in the Last 16, while Richards Bay defeated TS Sporting.


The last quarter-final match will be between South African football giants Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates and the game will take place on April 15.


Sundowns secured their place in the quarter-finals after defeating Polokwane City and Pirates overcame Maritzburg United.
