Morocco and Ivory Coast secured places at the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals in contrasting ways on Friday.
The Moroccans booked their place in the finals after their Group E rivals, Burundi and the Central African Republic drew 2-2 in Bujumbura.
The Atlas Lions of Morocco were also in action on Friday as they drew 0-0 with Mauritania in Nouakchott.
In Bujumbura, Burundi drew 2-2 with the Central African Republic in another Group E game and both teams still have a chance of qualifying.
2022 AFCON QUALIFIERS GROUP STANDINGS
Meanwhile, Ivory Coast qualified for the finals after thrashing Niger 3-0 in a Group K encounter in Niamey.
While Congo-Brazzaville needed maximum points against Senegal in Brazzaville to qualify from Group I, but had to settle for a 0-0 draw.
In a Group L match, Guinea-Bissau beat Eswatini 3-1 in Manzini to keep their hopes of qualifying for next year’s tournament alive.
Lastly, Cape Verde still have a chance of joining Morocco and Ivory Coast in the finals after thrashing Cameroon 3-1 in Praia.
