Burkina Faso will take on South Sudan in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification Group B match on Monday.


Kick-off is at 6:00 pm CAT.


The game is set to be played at the Stade du 4 Août in the biggest city in Burkina Faso, Ouagadougou.


The Stallions were held to a 0-0 draw by Uganda’s Cranes in a Group B match which was played in the Ugandan city of Entebbe on Wednesday.


2022 AFCON QUALIFIERS GROUP STANDINGS


The draw saw Group B leaders, Burkina Faso qualify for the next year’s tournament ahead of their clash with South Sudan.


The Stallions will now be looking to end a successful qualifying campaign with a victory over South Sudan’s Bright Stars.


Meanwhile, South Sudan suffered a 1-0 defeat to Malawi in a Group B match which was played in the Sudanese city of Omdurman on Wednesday.


The Bright Stars placed fourth on the group standings with three points from five matches


South Sudan’s hopes of qualifying ended after they succumbed to a defeat to Malawi and they will be hoping to end their Group B campaign with a win over Burkina Faso.


The previous match between Burkina Faso and South Sudan was on 17 November 2019.


Burkina Faso claimed a 2-1 win over South Sudan in the 2022 AFCON qualifier Group B game at the Khartoum Stadium in the Sudanese city of Khartoum.
