Senegal will take on Eswatini in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification Group I match on Tuesday.

Kick-off is at 6:00 pm CAT.

The game is set to be played at the Stade Lat-Dior in is the third-largest city in Senegal, Thiès.

The Lions of Teranga were held to a 0-0 draw by Congo-Brazzaville’s Red Devils in a Group I match which was played in Congo’s capital city, Brazzaville on March 26.

The draw saw Group I leaders, Senegal, who have already qualified for next year’s tournament, drop points for the first time in their qualifying campaign.

The West African giants will be confident of ending a successful qualifying campaign with a routine victory over Eswatini’s Sihlangu Semnikati (King’s Shield).

Meanwhile, Eswatini succumbed to a 3-1 defeat to Sudan in a Group I match which was played in Eswatini’s largest urban center, Manzini on March 26.

Sihlangu Semnikati find themselves placed fourth on the group stages with one point from five matches.

Eswatini’s hopes of qualifying have long diminished and they will be hoping to cause a major upset by defeating one of the favourites to win the 2022 AFCON finals, Senegal.

The previous encounter between Senegal and Eswatini was on 17 November 2019.

Senegal thumped Eswatini 4-1 in the 2022 AFCON qualifier Group I encounter at the Mavuso Sports Centre in the Eswatini city of Manzini.
