Egypt international Trezeguet is looking forward to facing English Premier League giants Liverpool FC and Manchester City.
The 26-year-old attacker came off the bench to score a brace which earned Aston Villa a 3-1 win over Fulham in a league game on Sunday afternoon.
Trezeguet, whose full name is Mahmoud Ahmed Ibrahim Hassan, felt the win was especially significant given the team’s next two fixtures are against Liverpool and City.
“We have nine matches left; it is very important to finish in the best way possible,” Trezeguet told the club’s official website.
“Whatever you do in the start of the season, how you finish is most important thing of course. We will try to finish in a better position than we are now.
“We climbed two positions in the table today, and I hope we finish where we deserve. We also have two tough games coming up against Liverpool and then Manchester City,” he added.
“It is very important to go to those matches well motivated.”
Trezeguet netted his first two goals of the season in the space of three second-half minutes to save Villa against Fulham after 20 games without a goal this term.
“I am very happy for the goals, but I believe in myself. I believed it was coming because I work really hard with the team and individually,” he said.
“I train every day and work on anything I might be missing to get better. Sometimes things don’t go your way, but as long as you work hard, it will come.
“It just takes time, but it will come.”
Villa will be away to Liverpool on April 10, before they play host to City on April 21.
