Swallows FC ended their winless run in the 2020-21 DStv Premiership in one of two matches on Sunday.

The Dube Birds beat Black Leopards 1-0 at Dobsonville Stadium. Daniel Gozar scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot to lead the Soweto club to their first league victory since mid January.

Victory moved Swallows up to fourth on the league standings while Lidoda Duvha remain in bottom spot, six points from safety.

Earlier in the day, Golden Arrows denied Bloemfontein Celtic a first away win of the season in a 1-1 draw at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.

Knox Mutizwa’s second-half goal cancelled out Mzwanele Mahashe’s opener in Clermont. The result left Arrows and Celtic in third and 10th spot in the league standings respectively.

Siwelele are winless on their travels since January 2020.
