Konkola Blades have secured FAZ Super League promotion with four games to spare but acting head coach Lewingtone Mujembe insists their aim now is to finish as second tier champions.
The Chililabombwe side secured their promotion last Saturday to return to the FAZ Super League for the first time since 2017.
Blades beat visitors and twelfth placed FC MUZA 2-1 on May 29 at Konkola Stadium to become the first team to confirm their top four promotion spot.
“It feels good, we have waited for a long time after fighting in the lower division and it is great to be back where we belong,” Mujembe said.
“It was confirmed in our last game that we are going back into the premiership but we have told the boys that in football, you need to win something to put in your cabinet so there is no relaxing in our remaining four games.”
Mujembe has been acting head coach over the last three months as ex-Zambia Under-20 coach Charles Bwale recovers from a long-term illness.
Blades have 62 points from thirty games played in the 18-team FAZ National First Division.
But the battle four a top four finish is still on with second placed Kansanshi Dynamos sitting just five points behind Blades.
Kafue Celtic, who are chasing a FAZ Super League debut appearance, are third on 52 points with a game in hand.
Chambishi FC occupy the final promotion slot on 50 points also with a match in hand as they battle to return to the FAZ Super League for the first time since 2009.
Nine-time FAZ Super League champions Mufulira Wanderers, who were demoted last season, are fifth on 49 and making a final push in their remaining four games to secure a top four finish.
