Senegal made easy work of Chipolopolo Zambia on Saturday night with a 3-1 home win in a friendly international played in Thies.

The 2018 AFCON runners up pedigree was obvious and they punished a makeshift Zambia with three first half goals from Sadio Mane, Krepin Diatta and Ismaila Sarr to kick off their June friendly assignments that will end with a June 8 home date against Cape Verde .

Senegal showed early signs of things to come as early as the 7th minute when Sarr’s header went marginally over the horizontal and three minutes later Sakidou Ciss sent his speculative shot that went just wide.

Sadio Mane broke the deadlock in the 21st minute from the penalty spot after he was brought down in the area by Dominic Chanda.

Mane then turned provider for Krepin Diatta in the 29th minute with a superb cross that the latter finished with aplomb.

Senegal then went 3-0 into the break on 44 minute thanks through a Sarr goal off another Mane assist.

Zambia pulled one back in the 53rd minute with a Chanda header to make up for his earlier crime.

Senegal, though, hardly broke sweat and confidently soaked up the pressure until the final whistle against a very modest Zambian side.
