FAZ Super League promotion candidates Kafue Celtic are grateful for the motivation talk they received from their ex-player Patson Daka when he graced their home game on Sunday.
The Chipolopolo star, who is linked with a summer move to the English Premiership from Austrian champions RB Salzburg, watched his former club beat fifteenth placed Mpulungu Harbour 3-0.
That victory helped Celtic consolidate third position in the top four promotion berths of the FAZ National First Division with three games left before they can confirm their FAZ Super League debut.
“The motivation talk was very good from Patson Daka, he told the boys when we won the game on Sunday that we are not yet in the Premier League and that we still have three more games to go and that we can only start celebrating after those three games,” Celtic coach Robert Tembo said.
“He told the boys to just keep working harder in the remaining three games until we get the job done.”
Celtic are tied on 58 points with second placed Kansanshi Dynamos and are seven points behind Konkola Blades who secured their FAZ Super League promotion with four games to spare.
Chambishi FC occupy the final promotion berth on 53 points and have three points more than nine-time FAZ Super Division champions Mufulira Wanderers who are sitting in fifth place and making a last ditch attempt for a top four finish.
Out of the five teams, Celtic is the only team chasing a debut FAZ Super League qualification spot.
