Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic is confident Chipolopolo Zambia will end their June friendly tour on a high despite posting three winless results.
Zambia plays Sudan at Omdurman on Sunday evening in their final date that comes on the back of two defeats and a draw during their June friendly schedule.
This will be Sudan and Zambia’s second match in 72 hours after the former beat Chipolopolo 3-2 in an unofficial international game on June 11 at the same venue that will count towards the FIFA rankings.
“Looking towards Sunday’s game with great hope that we shall accomplish our mission in the best possible way,” Micho said.
“We are going now to recover and come out on Sunday to give everything on the field of play so that we complete this June in the best possible way.”
Zambia kicked off the tour on June 5 with a 3-1 loss to Senegal in Thies, and then drew 2-2 with Benin in Cotonou on June 8 before falling to Sudan in the training game.
Meanwhile, Chipolopolo will be without Zanaco striker Moses Phiri after he sustained a calf injury during Friday’s loss to Sudan.
The development could see Brian Mwila in line for his second straight start after scoring his first goals on the tour with a brace on Friday.
Mwila was a used substitute in the Senegal and Benin games.
He could be joined in Sunday’s starting XI by his Buildcon club mate and defender Isaac Shamujompa who played his first match on the tour against Sudan where he was Chipolopolo’s man-of-the-match.
