Chris Katongo appointed to National Team FAZ Sub Committee

2012 AFCON winner and ex-Chipolopolo captain Chris Katongo has been appointed to the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) National Team Technical Sub Committee.

This is the former Jomo Cosmos and Green Buffaloes striker’s first appointment in an official FAZ capacity.

Katongo will join two other Zambia squad luminaries on the committee who are also both former senior national team coaches.

He will confer on the committee with veteran ex-Zambia coaches Fred Mwila and Colonel Brightwell Banda

“The 2012 Africa Cup of Nations winning skipper joins a six member team that will be chaired by FAZ Northern province chairperson Mwansa Kapyanga with FAZ Western province chairperson David Simwinga appointed vice chairperson,” FAZ stated.

Other members of the committee are Kabwe Youth Soccer Academy proprietor Mwansa Mutangama including a representative from the Zambia Football Coaches Association.
