Nkausu salutes Chris Katongo's FAZ appointment

Ex-Chipolopolo Zambia defender Davies Nkausu has saluted his fellow 2012 AFCON winning teammate Christopher Katongo’s appointment to the FAZ national team technical sub-committee.

The ex- Zambia captain was appointed to the FAZ national team technical subcommittee on June 13.

“We need more of us in there. It makes me so happy to know about his promotion. It couldn’t have come to a more deserving person,” Nkausu said.

“I mean he has played the game for so many years.”

Nkausu said he hopes Katongo’s wealth of experience would quickly bring notable improvement to the Chipolopolo structures.

“Congratulations to my brother Chris, may the good lord help him work well. We all want what’s best for our country to bring back our glory days,” Nkausu said.

This is Katongo’s first FAZ official boardroom appointment.

Katongo hang-up his boots over two years ago and later enjoyed a lengthy stint as Green Buffaloes assistant coach until last year.
