Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Brighton & Hove Albion star Tariq Lamptey as their top target to replace Serge Aurier, according to Sky Sports.

Aurier, 28, has publicly announced his desire to leave Spurs ahead of the 2021/22 season.

The Ivory Coast international, who has one year left on his current deal, is eager on a return to Paris Saint-Germain where could reunite with former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Lamptey started the 2020/21 season in hot form but hasn’t played since December after having to undergo surgery on a hamstring injury.

The 20-year-old is contracted to Brighton unti 2025, having only joined the Seagulls from Chelsea in January 2020.

Lamptey has represented England at youth level but is of Ghanaian descent and thus qualifies to represent the Black Stars at international level.

The talented right-back started 11 matches for Brighton in the previous campaign before suffering a season-ending injury.
