Zesco United’s final league game of the season on June 27 against Buildcon and subsequent coronation as 2020/2021 FAZ Super League champions after full-time has been moved from Ndola to Kitwe.

The match has been shifted from Levy Mwanawasa Stadium where late former Republican President Kenneth Kaunda is due to lie-in-state during a memorial service there.

Tenth positioned Buildcon will now host the champions-elect Zesco 50 minutes away in Kitwe at Arthur Davies Stadium.

“We have been informed that Levy Mwanawasa Stadium is not available on Sunday 27th June 2021 and in light of this, an alternative venue has been arranged namely Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe. Date and time remain unchanged,” Zambia Premier League manager Brian Mulenga said in a notice to the two clubs.

Zesco head into their final top-flight fixture of the season after securing this league title with three games to spare to tie on nine victories with the second most successful clubs Mufulira Wanderers.

They are now four wins behind their FAZ Super League predecessors Nkana.
