Richards Bay will battle with Royal AM in the South African PSL promotion/relegation playoffs match at the Umhlathuze Sports Complex Grounds on Monday.

Kick-off is at 15h00 CAT.

This will be the Natal Rich Boys’ last match in the playoffs and they are under pressure to win the game in order to keep their hopes of securing promotion to the PSL alive.

The KwaZulu-Natal side is coming off a 1-1 draw against Chippa United at home in an encounter that was played on Saturday.

Richards Bay are placed second on the playoffs standings – three points behind leaders, Chippa, who are set to take on Royal AM in their last game on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Royal AM are currently embroiled in a court battle with the PSL in which they aim to be reinstated to the top of the 2020/21 GladAfrica Championship standings.

The Black and Gold failed to honour their first two fixtures in the playoffs which were against Chippa on Tuesday and Richards Bay on Thursday and their rivals are expected to be awarded walkover victories.

It remains to be seen whether Royal AM will turn up for their KwaZulu-Natal Derby fixture against Richards Bay.

The two teams have met twice across all competitions and Richards Bay boast an undefeated record.

They have recorded a win and draw against Royal AM in the GladAfrica Championship.
