Kitwe United coach Kasi Kalande is resigned to the reality of losing his impact players following his sides’ demotion.
United finished bottom of the 2020/2021 FAZ Super League log and were relegated with five games to spare.
“There is always the fear of the possible impact of losing players. Of course some players may stay, some players may go, but we are working on that one,”Kalande told AF.
“We believe we won’t take any break and we will look for players to reinforce the team.
“It is a very big worry because we are thinking of how we are going to build a new team.”
One of the biggest potential departures includes the talented winger Edward Lungu who has been on the radar of top three finishers Zesco United, Zanaco and Red Arrows.
Lungu has also caught the eye of Chipolopolo coach Milutin Sredojevic after getting a debut call-up for the June friendly tour that he missed due to a passport delay.
Towering goalkeeper Haveson Chinganbu is another potential off-season departure after going down twice with United over the last three seasons.
