Al Ahly include injury doubts in CAFCL final squad

Al Ahly have named an extended 28-man squad for the CAF Champions League final this coming weekend.

The reigning African champions will chase a record-extending 10th continental crown when they face South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs at the Stade Mohamed V in Casablanca on the evening of Saturday 17 July.

Coach Pitso Mosimane has included three players in the selection who have injury clouds hovering over them, namely veteran Walid Soliman, attacking midfielder Mohamed Mahmoud and winger Karim ‘Nedved’ Walid.

The Egyptian giants, who booked their spot in the final with an emphatic 4-0 aggregate triumph over Esperance de Tunis, have already travelled to Casablanca to camp ahead of the big match.
