Zesco United coach Mumamba Numba has selected four players from the 33 players who attended the week-long trials the defending FAZ Super League champions held in Ndola last week.
All the trialists were drawn from Zesco’s six lower league feeder clubs spread across Zambia.
Numba picked wingers Paul Banda and Emmanuel Zulu both of Zesco Shockers including the Zesco Malaiti duo of forward Benson Mulenga and midfielder Albert Mobola.
The Zesco coach said Mulenga and Mobola would remain at Zesco Malaiti for another season where they will be joined by Zulu and Banda.
“The ones we have selected will be sent to Malaiti Rangers for further exposure and development. Remember, Malaiti are playing in National Division One. This also makes it easy for us to monitor their progress,” Numba said.
Last season, Zesco also promoted three players from their feeder clubs who have all become established members of the first team.
They are striker Enock Sakala Junior, midfielder John Chishimba and defender Samuel Sikaonga.
