Days after it was reported that Riyad Mahrez could be offered a new deal at Manchester City, contrasting rumours are now doing the rounds that the Algeria captain could be offered to Tottenham Hotspur.
According to L’Equipe via talkSport
, the Premier League champions are prepared to offer one of Mahrez, Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus or Bernardo Silva in any deal for Harry Kane.
Spurs have reportedly already rejected a £100million bid from City, but Pep Guardiola has not given up on landing the England skipper.
City are desperate to fill the void left by Sergio Aguero at Etihad Stadium and have identified Kane as his ideal replacement.
The Spurs forward, who is contracted to the north London club until 2024, directly contributed to 50 goals last season.
Mahrez played 48 times for City in the 2021/22 season, helping the club to a Carabao Cup and English Premier League double. The 30-year-old also scored four important goals for City in their run to the UEFA Champions League final which ultimately ended in defeat to Chelsea.
City kick-off their Premier League title defence away to Tottenham on the 15th of August.
