Olympic record breaker Barbara Banda hopes her milestone setting moments continue at The Games in Tokyo.
The 21-year-old Shepolopolo Zambia striker and captain has scored back-to-back hat-tricks at the Olympics.
That feat sees Banda become the first player, male or female, to score two hat-tricks at a single Olympics.
“It’s good to make history when you have the opportunity so I just have to keep on working hard and break more history,” Banda said.
“I still have a long way to go; I just have to be disciplined because I am aiming to become the best footballer in the world.”
Banda is also on the cusp of setting a new women’s football tournament if she scores in Tuesday’s final Group F match against Brazil in Saitama.
Her goals in Shepolopolo’s opening two Group F games have seen her equal Canadian Christine Sinclair’s six-goal record that was set at London 2012.
