Ivory Coast international Amad Diallo’s future at Manchester United will be decided after the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games according to club manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The 19-year-old attacker helped Ivory Coast reach the Olympics quarter-finals, where they are scheduled to face Spain on Saturday.

There have been questions surrounding Diallo’s chances of regular first-team at United after the English giants signed Jadon Sancho from German side Borussia Dortmund.

Sancho’s arrival has also affected teenager Anthony Elanga, with Solskjaer set to decide whether to loan or keep the Swedish attacker ahead of the 2021/22 season.

“We think about every single player and the club’s best pathway – what’s best for this season, what’s best for the future,” Solskjaer told the club’s website.

“Amad’s enjoying the Olympics and we’ll sit down towards the end of the window to see how we are.

“Of course, with Elanga, a decision on him is a big one.”

Solskjaer also discussed Marcus Rashford’s situation with the English star currently nursing a shoulder injury since last year and he has been tipped for an operation this summer.

“There’s Marcus and his injury status, so we’ll make a decision on Amad when he comes back and sit down with him.”

Diallo played just three matches in the Premier League and provided one assist for United after joining the club from Italian side Atalanta BC midway through the 2020/21 season.
