An adjustment has been made to Chipolopolo Zambia’s FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Group B qualifier date against Tunisia.

The match was earlier scheduled for September 5 but had now been moved to September 7 following Mauritania’s confirmation that they will host Zambia on September 3 and not September 1 in Nouadhibou.

“FIFA has also confirmed the kickoff time as 15:00 CAT hours for the clash against the Carthage Eagles at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium. Head of Qualifiers and International Matches at FIFA Gordon Savic disclosed that timings and venues were a prerogative of FIFA to decide: ‘Please kindly note that all the different elements had to be taken into account including optimizing the best-possible exposure and avoiding important overlaps in terms of TV coverage,’ reads Savic’s notice in part,” FAZ spokesperson Sydney Mungala said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Zambia regroups this Sunday August 15 in Lusaka for the second week of training camp.

Twenty two home-based players will later be joined by the foreign-based call-ups at the end of next week.

Coach Beston Chambeshi is set to announce his list of overseas based call-ups.
