Chipolopolo Zambia captain and defender Kabaso Chongo says it is business as usual for him at DR  Congo giants TP Mazembe despite being linked with Amazulu.

Kabaso is reportedly on Amazulu’s radar as they bolster their team ahead of their debut continental campaign in the 2021/2022 CAF Champions League.

The defender told AF from his base in Lubumbashi that he was humbled to hear that Amazulu coach Benni McCarthy is interested in his services.

“Right now, I am pushing and focusing pre-season at Mazembe and everything is OK and I can’t complain,” Kabaso said.

“It is now up to the two clubs to talk to each other about any deal because that is there job. I will just patiently wait for an outcome of their meeting.”

Kabaso has been at Mazembe since 2013 after joining the DR Congo champions from Konkola Mine Police FC.
