Chipolopolo to hold 10-Day training camp in Morocco

Chipolopolo Zambia will hold a ten-day training camp in Morocco starting this week ahead of their FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 opening Group B qualifier against Mauritania.


Zambia visit Mauritania in a Group B match that will be played in the hosts’ second largest city Nouadhibou.


The match is scheduled for September 3 at Stade Municipal de Nouadhibou.


Twenty-two home-based players returned to camp in Lusaka on Saturday under Chipolopolo coach Beston Chambeshi where they been training behind closed doors since then.


“The team resumed training camp on Saturday,”FAZ spokesperson Sydney Mungala said.


“The coach will trim the team from 22 to 15 this Wednesday.


“Thereafter, the team will leave for Morocco on Thursday for a ten-day training camp in Berkane.


“All the foreign-based call-ups will join camp in Berkane.”


Chambeshi is set to name his foreign-based players before over the coming 24 hours.
