CAF Confederation Cup envoys Red Arrows coach Chisi Mbewe has returned from Tanzania after completing his CAF A Licence coaching course.

A CAF A License, or its equivalent, is a compulsory requirement for all coaches managing clubs that are participating in CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup tournaments.

Chisi attended the course that ran from August 2-12 together with Green Eagles assistant coach Alex Namazaba.

“They are back after completing the theory part of the course. They will now do the practical part from their respective clubs,” FAZ spokesperson Sydney Mungala said.

The Arrows boss is also Zambia Under-15 national team coach.

Chisi and Namazaba’s qualifications would increase the number of Zambian coaches with CAF A certificates to 16.

Meanwhile, Arrows face Royal Leopards of Eswatini in their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round tie and will be home in the first leg scheduled for September 11 in Lusaka.
