Chipolopolo Zambia midfielder Salulani Phiri has rejoined Zanaco.
Salulani has returned to the FAZ Super League five years after he left seven-time Zambian champions Zanaco to join South African PSL club Polokwane City in January, 2017.
“Salulani Phiri joins us from Polokwane City as a free agent on a two-year deal,” Zanaco said in a statement.
The Chipolopolo midfielder is one of four new faces Zanaco confirmed on August 19.
His Chipolopolo teammate and goalkeeper Lameck Siame has joined Zanaco from Kabwe Warriors on a three-year deal.
Siame is the second goalkeeper signing in the pre-season alongside that of Charles Lamu who has signed a two-year deal from Indeni.
Midfielder Eric Owusu has joined from FAZ Super League side Buildcon in Ndola on a two-year deal.
The quartet join Zanaco as the Lusaka-based club embarks on their continental journey next month in the 2021/2022 CAF Champions League.
Zanaco face Akonangui of Equatorial Guinea in next month’s preliminary round and commence their campaign with a first leg trip to Malabo.
