Nkana have set up a ten-day pre-season training camp just outside Kitwe.
The record 13-time Zambia champions have taken a short 25 minute drive outside Kitwe to the exclusive Mufulira Boating Club as the September 11 FAZ Super League kick off approaches.
Nkana will kick-off their 2021/2022 season with a Week 1 home date against Nkwazi.
“The team will be out for 10 days at the Mufulira Dam and Boating Club and the technical team and the players will continue with their high intensive training as we look forward to the start of the new season,” Nkana acting CEO Mutale Kapwepwe said in a statement.
“We have goals to achieve for the coming season, hence the importance of this pre-season outing cannot be over emphasised.”
Missing from the retreat is head coach Beston Chambeshi who is away on FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 qualifiers duty with Chipolopolo Zambia preparing the team for their September 3 Group B away game against Mauritania.
Nkana survived relegation on the final day of last season to escape the ignominy of becoming the first defending league champions to be demoted.
