hipolopolo midfielder Lubambo Musonda says they would push to get a respectable away result against Mauritania in this Friday’s FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Group B qualifier in Nouakchott.
Friday’s game will be Zambia and Mauritania’s debut international meeting.
“Well, playing away is always tough but we will make sure we get the best possible result out of this game,” Lubambo said.
“You know, most of the time players are more confident when we are playing away and if we do get a good result we will gain more confidence to play in the other matches.”
The midfielder who plays for Danish second tier club AC Horsens joined camp on Wednesday morning in Nouakchott together with Edward Chilufya of Swedish club Djurgardens to complete Chipolopolo’s row-call for the September 3 Group B opener.
Lubambo and Chilufya joined their compatriots after flying straight into Nouakchott from their respective European bases just hours after the rest of the Chipolopolo team flew-in from Morocco where Zambia had just wrapped up a ten-day training camp in Marrakech.
