Midfielder Clatous Chama has joined Chipolopolo camp in Ndola on Sunday after missing Friday’s FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Group B qualifier away to Mauritania.
The midfielder of Moroccan club RS Berkane missed Chipolopolo’s 2-1 away victory over Mauritania on September 3 after failing to get an entry visa into Nouakchott.
Chama arrived in Ndola at 18h00 CAT just 10 hours after Zambia also landed there on a chartered flight from Mauritania ahead of the September 7 home date against Tunisia.
Mwepu and Patson, who featured in the Mauritania win, were released after the match to return to Britain in order for them to avoid the prospect of enduring a 10-day quarantine when they re-enter the UK from Zambia which is Covid-19 Red-Listed nation.
Meanwhile, Chambeshi’s team held a one-hour recovery session on Sunday afternoon at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium where Zambia will battle Tunisia.
Zambia and Tunisia meet in a fight for top-spot of Group B and are currently tied on 3 points but The Carthage Eagles lead on goal difference following Friday’s 3-0 home win over Equatorial Guinea in Rades.
