Burkina Faso will battle with Algeria in their second 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification Group A match on Tuesday.

Kick-off is at 3:00 pm CAT.

The encounter is scheduled to be played at the Stade de Marrakech in the fourth largest city in the Kingdom of Morocco, Marrakesh.

This is because the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has suspended Burkina Faso’s Stade du 4 Août due to non-compliance with licensing regulations.

The Stallions got off a good start in Group A as they claimed a 2-0 away victory over Niger at the Stade de Marrakech on Thursday.

Mohamed Konate and Lassina Traore scored for Burkina Faso and they will be hoping to inspire coach Kamou Malo’s side to another win in Morocco.

Meanwhile, Algeria started their Group A campaign very well as they recorded an 8-0 win over Djibouti at the Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in Blida on Thursday.

Islam Slimani was in great scoring form for the Desert Foxes – scoring four times with Algeria extending their unbeaten run to 28 games across all competitions.

Djamel Belmadi, the Algeria coach, will be looking to Slimani once again with the Desert Foxes looking to make it two wins out of two matches in Group A.

The previous encounter between Burkina Faso and Algeria was on 19 November 2013.

Algeria secured a 1-0 win over Burkina Faso in the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Stade Mustapha Tchaker.
