Tunisia coach Mondher Kebaïer has warned Chipolopolo that they are determined to stay top of Group B at the end of the 90 minutes of Tuesday’s FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Group B qualifier away at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
Chipolopolo hosts Tunisia in a top two showdown so early in the 2022 Qatar Group B qualifiers with both sides tied on 3 points although The Carthage Eagles lead the pool on goal difference heading into match-day-two.
Tunisia kicked off their Group B qualifiers with a 3-0 home win over Equatorial Guinea 3-0 in Rades on September 3 while Zambia defeated Mauritania 2-1 away in Nouakchott on the same date.
“We are sure that Zambia is a strong team but to keep our hopes of qualifying to the World Cup we have to win all our games but Tuesday’s match will not be easy,” Kebaier said.
“I am 100 percent sure that we will have a tough match but we will give it our 100 percent to win it.”
Tunisia has not lost a competitive qualifier on the road since November 2018 when Egypt beat them 3-2 in a 2019 AFCON Group J qualifier.
Since then, the 2004 AFCON champions and five-time FIFA World Cup finalists have collected two wins and as many draws in competitive qualifiers.
“Tunisia is an experienced team and we are good travellers. So we will play with a positive mind but pay attention to our opponents and be very cautious of Zambia’s strong points,” Kebaier said.
