Zanaco win, Warriors draw in CAF action

Zanaco and Kabwe Warriors made progress in their respective continental assignments away from home on Sunday.

In Ebebiyin, Equatorial Guinea, Zanaco beat Akonangui 2-0 in their CAF Champions League Preliminary round , first leg match.

Both goals came in the first half through Evans Katema in the 14th minute and Ernest Mbewe in the 31st minute.

The two sides meet in the final leg at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka on September 18.

In Madagascar, Warriors drew 0-0 with CFFA in their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary stage, first leg match.

The final leg is scheduled for September 19 also at Heroes Stadium.

This is Warriors first game back in continental action since 1993.
