Senegalese star Kalidou Koulibaly has expressed his delight at scoring the winning goal for Napoli against Juventus in this past weekend’s Serie A action.
The Neapolitans found themselves a goal down early in their league clash at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Saturday evening, after Alvaro Morata put the Bianconeri ahead on 10 minutes.
Matteo Politano levelled matters on 57 minutes, and the hosts were able to claim a dramatic win when Koulibaly stabbed home from close range on 85 minutes after Juve couldn’t clear from a corner kick.
The Senegalese centre-back borrowed a camera from a photographer to take pictures of the fans celebrating the goal in the stands.
“I saw the fans up there and wanted to keep the moment in a photograph, it was too beautiful!” he told DAZN, as quoted by Tribal Football.
“This victory is for them, because we missed them for over a year and to see them back in the stands makes us so happy.”
He added: “We knew that both teams were missing important players, and it’s a pity we conceded that goal, but we had the right maturity to react and change things.”
