Chipolopolo striker Patson Daka and midfielder Enock Mwepu have a 2021/2022 English League Cup fourth round rendezvous next month after their respective clubs progressed on Wednesdays.

Mwepu’s Brighton will visit Leicester in their last 16 tie during the week of October 25.

Leicester advanced to the next stage following a 2-0 away win over Millwall in London.

Patson started from the bench and came on in the 69th minute to replace Ademola Lookman who scored Leicester’s second goal in the 50th minute.

Brighton defeated Swansea at home by a similar margin in a match Mwepu was an unused substitute.

The pre-quarterfinal draw comes just days after Leicester and Brighton met on September 19 in the league that the latter won 2-1 at home.

Patson was an unused substitute in that match while Mwepu came on in the 62nd minute.

Meanwhile up in Scotland, Glasgow Rangers advance to the Scottish League Cup semifinals following a 2-0 home win over Livingston.

Chipolopolo striker Fashion Sakala came on in the 77th minute after the job was completed in the 63rd minute by Alfredo Morelos.

Fashion replaced Kemar Roofle who scored Rangers first goal in the 48th minute.

Rangers and St Johnstone, who beat Dundee FC 2-o away, will know their semifinal opponents on Thursday evening after the last two quarterfinal games involving Celtic versus Raith Rovers and Dundee United versus Hibernian are played.
