Cameroon will lock horns with Mozambique in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification Group D encounter on Friday.

Kick-off is at 18h00 CAT.

The match is set to be played at the Japoma Stadium in the largest city in Cameroon and its economic capital, Douala.

The Indomitable Lions started their Group D campaign with a 2-0 win over Malawi at home last month, before losing 2-1 to Ivory Coast away.

Cameroon are placed second on the group standings – a point behind Ivory Coast and they will look to beat Mozambique twice as they are scheduled to meet on Friday and in Morocco on October 11.

Meanwhile, Mozambique managed to hold Cameroon to a 0-0 draw at home last month, before losing 1-0 to Malawi away.

The Mambas are placed at the bottom of the group standings, but they are only three points behind leaders, Ivory Coast and they are coming into their clashes with Cameroon as the underdogs.

The last competitive meeting between Cameron and Mozambique was in November 2020.

The Indomitable Lions claimed a comfortable 2-0 win over the Mambas in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Mozambique.
