Egypt will square off with Libya in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification Group F match on Friday.
Kick-off is at 9 pm CAT.
The game is expected to take place at the Borg El Arab Stadium in the third-largest city in Egypt after Cairo and Giza, Alexandria.
The Pharaohs secured a 1-0 win over Angola at home in their maiden Group F match last month, before drawing 1-1 with Gabon away.
As a result, Egypt are sitting in position two on the group standings and they will be confident of defeating Libya twice as they are set to meet on Friday and in Benghazi on October 11.
Meanwhile, Libya have been impressive as they defeated Gabon 2-1 at home in their first Group F game last month, before defeating Angola 1-0 away last month.
Therefore, the Mediterranean Knights are sitting at the top of the group standings – two points above second-placed Egypt with the two North African teams set to renew their rivalry.
The last competitive meeting between Egypt and Libya was in January 2006.
The Pharaohs emerged 3-0 winners over the Mediterranean Knights in the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations Group A game in Egypt.
