Mozambique seek redemption against Cameroon

Mozambique will battle it out with Cameroon in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification Group D match on Monday.

Kick-off is at 15h00 CAT.

The two teams are set to meet at the Grand Stade de Tanger in a coastal city in northwestern Morocco, Tanger.

The Mambas are wounded as they were thrashed 3-1 by Cameroon away in a Group D match that was played on Friday.

Mozambique are placed fourth place on the group standings with only one point from three matches and they are six points behind leaders, Ivory Coast.

The Southern African side will look Geny with the attacker having netted the Mambas’ consolation goal in Cameroon.

Meanwhile, the victory over Mozambique saw Cameroon remain second on the group standings – a point behind leaders, Ivory Coast.

Jean-Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Karl Toko Ekambi are the dangermen for Indomitable Lions having scored the African giants’ goals against Mozambique.

The last time Mozambique hosted Cameroon in a competitive match was in November 2020.

The Indomitable Lions claimed a comfortable 2-0 win over the Mambas in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Maputo.
